WATER IN JOSHUA TREE

The water in Joshua Tree is administered by the Joshua Basin Water District, a public agency which was formed in 1963. The water supply is obtained from District-owned wells.  The District is regulated by the State Water Code and governed by a five-member elected Board of Directors.

Board Meetings are held the first and third Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at the District office, and the public is invited to attend. The Board Meetings are televised on local cable TV Channel 6 on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 8:00 p.m.

The office is open from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and is located on the comer of Park Boulevard and Chollita Road, north of the entrance to the Joshua Tree National Park.
