Time to Talk Trash - Hi Desert Nature Museum

DWL_2024_Seger-tortoise_facing_camera_(1).jpegLed by Katie Shaw, Conservation Social Scientist at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, the lecture titled “Time to Talk Trash” will discuss how ravens are one of the leading contributing factors in the decline of the desert tortoise. The lecture will delve into the causes behind the meteoric rise in raven populations and the resulting threat it poses to juvenile tortoises while also highlighting the simple actions members of the community can take to assist in the State’s conservation efforts. The lecture is free and open to the public, but space is limited, and seating is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
