The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) will host this online public outreach meeting "to share an update on the Western Joshua Tree Conservation Plan conservation strategies introduced during the April 4th outreach meeting, and to gather feedback on the management actions and implementation processes CDFW has developed since the meeting, for incorporation into the Conservation Plan." The Western Joshua Tree Conservation Act (WJTCA) passed in July 2023 requires consultation and collaboration with California Native American Tribes, governmental agencies, and the public.
