MBCA President Rescues Raptor

MBCA President Steve Bardwell and Board Member Sarah Kennington discovered an injured large hawk-type bird on the ground of their property in Gamma Gulch. (or "the Pioneertown area" if you don't want it that specific?) Later determined to be a juvenile female Northern harrier (formerly known as "marsh hawk"), they were able to find assistance through the Fur and Feathers organization of Twentynine Palms and handed the bird over for care to Susan Doggett of ??????. The story is told in photos below. We are hopeful for recovery but it is "touch and go."
