Nurseries

We visited nurseries here in the Morongo Basin and further afield to compile a list of sources for drought-tolerant and native plants. Some list their inventory online and offer plant information. If you have a favorite plant supplier or organization not listed here we’d love to hear about it.

FYI The robust poaching trade has put cactus on a list of the five most threatened groups of organisms along with coral reefs! Buy from reputable sources to make sure that you’re not contributing to illegal harvest. Steer clear of ornamental plants that become invasive in the Morongo Basin.

Don’t rely on well-meaning sales staff to understand our conditions when shopping at nurseries outside the Morongo Basin. Look through our Learning Resources and Before You Buy pages to make sure that the plants will work for you.
