MBCA Joins Appeal Against Approval of Cactus Club Hotel in Joshua Tree

IMG_1318.pngMBCA joined the Center for Biological Diversity and a concerned Panorama Heights neighbor in filing an appeal of the Planning Commission's October 8 approval of the Cactus Club Hotel. The project proposes a 20-room hotel with additional facilities including two restaurants, cafe, wine bar, club room, spa, and service building on relatively intact native desert habitat in a residential living neighborhood.

The Desert Trumpet article covering the Planning Commission meeting outlines many of the concerns about the project. Sent with the appeal are Exhibits in support of the appeal details. MBCA will alert our supporters of the date when the appeal is scheduled to be heard by the Board of Supervisors.
