A Morongo Basin community tradition for almost two decades, MBCA’s annual Desert-Wise Landscape Tour in late April provides desert dwellers and visitors a day to enjoy the beauty and creativity of exceptional local desert gardens. Hosted by homeowners, the Tour sites spotlight native and drought-tolerant plants and low water use techniques. Many have sculpture or hardscape enhancements.

Since 2020 MBCA has expanded our Desert-Wise Living campaign with YouTube video tours to provide you a chance to enjoy site tours virtually, on your own schedule. They cover a variety of landscape environments across the communities and elevations of the Morongo Basin.
