    Night Sky Festival

    Celebrating the night skies of Joshua Tree National Park, this all-day festival includes workshops, demonstrations, astronomy talks, and night sky observing. It is a fundraiser sponsored by Joshua Tree National Park, Sky's the Limit Observatory and Nature Center, the Joshua Tree National Park Council for the Arts, and the City of 29 Palms. A number of events are free but tickets or registration fees are required for several events. Go to the Night Sky Festival website which provides all the details and links to register.  Early registration for the fee events is suggested.

    The Water-Energy Nexus, Lecture at MWA

    In the second of two "ABC's of Water" lectures, the focus is "Measuring Energy and Greenhouse Gas Emissions in the Water Sector." The content is intended to "help water managers and consumers better understand the impact their choices regarding energy and water have on greenhouse gas emissions."
