Beginner's Plant ID Class (2.5 Days) by CNPS Mojave Chapter
Sponsored by the Mojave Chapter of the California Native Plant Society, this class begins with a half-day classroom meeting on March 29 followed by two days of field excursions (March 30-31) in and around the Morongo Basin and Joshua Tree National Park. Up to several miles of hiking may be required on the field trips. Instructor Mark Wheeler is a desert naturalist, with many years of experience surveying the flora of Joshua Tree National Park.
