S'more Science Lectures - Desert Institute

The Desert Institute of the Joshua Tree National Park Association presents three free science lectures related to the ecology of Joshua Tree National Park. Three speakers will each describe their current research: UC Riverside graduate student Angela Buehlman's talk is on drought adaptation of the manzanita plant; Tallisker "Talli" Weiss, also a UCR graduate student, will speak on heavy metal exposure on wild desert bees; and Professor Leila Hawkins of Harvey Mudd College will focus on air pollution in Joshua Tree National Park.
