In January 2019 the United States Post Office issued a $7.35 Priority Mail stamp celebrating "the Joshua Tree and its distinct desert environment." At the start of today's event there will be brief comments by representatives of Joshua Tree National Park, the Joshua Tree National Park Association, and the US Postal Service. Along with a specially decorated envelope, the stamp will be offered for sale throughout the day at the Joshua Tree National Park Visitor's Center.
