Register for 2022 Desert-Wise Landscape Tour

IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED BY 5 PM SATURDAY, APRIL 23, PLEASE COME TO MOJAVE DESERT LAND TRUST TO REGISTER BETWEEN 9 AM AND NOON ON THE EVENT DAY, SUNDAY, APRIL 24. THEY ARE AT 60124 TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGHWAY IN JOSHUA TREE.

After two years of offering only virtual Desert-Wise Landscape Tours via YouTube videos, in 2022 MBCA will offer the opportunity to physically visit five landscape sites in the Morongo Basin. The Tour sites represent landscapes focused on wise use of water, extensive use of native plants, restoration of disturbed desert lands, plus green building and energy-saving strategies. Visitors will enjoy the beauty of the landscapes and learn from landowners and other presenters how to achieve similar results in their landscapes.

This year’s Tour sites are located in Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, and Landers. In addition to three home sites, the Mojave Desert Land Trust and Joshua Basin Water District Demonstration Garden will be open with docents and educational materials. Registration provides you with an online Tour Guide including directions to the sites. Register in advance below (preferred) or in person on the Tour Day at Mojave Desert Land Trust between 9AM and Noon. MBCA members pay $5, others $10 per person. Options to join and register at the same time are offered below.

Special Note about MDLT: Limited spaces are available to tour the Seed Bank at 10AM or 2PM. To reserve a place you must email [email protected]

And after the Tour, considering entering the Desert-Wise Landscape Tour Essay Contest, with 3 gift certificate prizes! 

On our website you can review prior Virtual Tours from 2020 and 2021. And new Virtual Tours for 2022 will be available in June!

$35.00 Couples Membership plus Tour - Includes annual membership plus the tour for one Couple

$20.00 Single Membership plus Tour - Includes annual MBCA Single membership and tour for one person

$10.00 Non-members - Tour Only - For non-members who do NOT wish to also purchase membership

$5.00 Members - Tour Only - For current MBCA members. We will contact you to renew if necessary.
