- 6th Desert Wise Landscape Tour
- Eagle Mountain Boundary Study
First, of course, we encourage you to attend the 6th Desert Wise Landscape Tour this weekend. It looks like the weather will be just perfect for the two days – clear, in the mid-70s, and not too windy! If you haven’t yet registered for the Tour, either register online by 5:00 PM this Friday, April 22, or register in person at one of the following locations on Saturday or Sunday. Although the sites span the Morongo Basin on both days, there are more West End sites on Saturday, and more on the East End including Twentynine Palms on Sunday.
In Person Registration for the Desert-Wise Landscape Tour
Open 9-12, SATURDAY, April 23
(look for sign at intersection of Highway 62 and Pioneertown Road)
3. Joshua Tree Health Foods in Joshua Tree (next to Natural Sisters Cafe)
Open 9-12, SUNDAY, April 24
(look for sign at intersection of Highway 62 and Pioneertown Road)
corner of Desert Queen Ave. and Highway 62
Our second message is to announce a new event in partnership with the National Parks Conservation Association, in preparation for the May 4th Public Meeting in Joshua Tree about the Eagle Mountain Boundary Study for Joshua Tree National Park. This informal “pre-meeting” will be at the Furst World venue near the Park’s West Entrance on Wednesday evening, April 27. Read the event flyer to learn more. It will be an enjoyable social experience and will also prepare you to make useful comments at the public meeting. You can review MBCA’s April 13th e-blast for more details and links about the Boundary Study.
Hope to see you on the Tour this weekend!
