- Alta Mira Housing project: IMPORTANT MEETING THIS THURSDAY!
- Update on Joshua Tree Airport Solar Field Project (NextEra)
- SPARC Forum – Phase 2: Community Outreach
- San Bernardino County Renewable Energy & Conservation Element
The Commission will review the proposed Altamira development – 248 residential units proposed to be located in the southwestern portion of Joshua Tree. This is our opportunity to again demonstrate & voice strong opposition to this project! Plan to attend this video conferencing meeting!
The developer’s Initial Study does not consider any of the explicit provisions of the Joshua Tree Community Plan of 2007, a violation of CEQA. Neighbors are uniformly against the project. The County Staff report includes sixty comment letters opposing the project – we encourage you to read these (starting on page 120) to understand the range of reasons to stop this project!
MBCA prepared extensive background and objections to the Alta Mira project. See MBCA’s commentary and other background information on our Alta Mira Housing Project page.
Update on Joshua Tree Airport Solar Field Project (NextEra)
MBCA has submitted a detailed and illustrated report describing the many problems with the proposed solar field development on the former Joshua Tree Airport site.
REMINDER….ALSO THIS WEEK!
